Seasonal Care
Mulch, fertiliser and the once a year prunes.
When did the beds last get a proper top up of mulch?
Some jobs only work at the right time of year. Mulch before the heat. Fertiliser matched to what is actually planted. The once a year cuts that keep shrubs full. Soil sorted out where things keep struggling.
You can book them one at a time as they come up, or we can schedule the whole year and spread the cost across twelve months. Either way you know what is happening and when.
From beds to lawns, we've got it covered.
Mulching
Topped up deep enough to actually hold the weeds down, and kept back off the stems.
Fertilising
Matched to what you have got, because natives and hedges want different things.
Renewal pruning
The once a year cuts that keep shrubs full.
Bed rejuvenation
Compacted beds opened back up, with compost into soil that has had nothing put back for years.
Soil testing
For when the planting is not doing what it should.
Pre-emergent
Down before the weeds germinate, which saves the regular visits being spent on them.
Mulch down before the heat arrives.
Questions we get asked a lot.
Can I book seasonal work without a plan?
Yes. Mulching, fertilising and a hard prune all get quoted as one-off jobs. Plenty of people end up scheduling them for the year afterwards, because it is one less thing to have to remember.
Is a soil test worth it?
If your garden is doing fine, no. If plants keep struggling and nobody can tell you why, it usually pays for itself in fertiliser you stop wasting and plants you stop replacing.
How much mulch does a bed need?
Deep enough that light cannot reach the soil. That is more than a bed usually gets, and it is the difference between mulching once and topping it up again by February.
